Tar & Gravel Finish to Driveway

This project was for one of our oldest customers who had built a new home near Towcester, Northants.

Having built a new house we were asked to supply a natural looking driveway and parking area.

We laid a tarmacadam base on a previously prepared hardcore sub-base.

Hot tar was then sprayed to the tarmacadam surface and gravel applied to give a natural looking finish.

By laying the tarmacadam first the surface has a good solid base for driving on rather than just having gravel that tends to move and rut or even disappear into the sub-base after vehicular use.
